Nigel’s Newsletter March 2024

Hi All,

Well it would appear that I spoke too soon last month.  The rain gods have come back with a vengeance with February being the wettest in over 250 years.

I regularly walk across the course and there is still a lot of standing water on and off the fairways.  This has put paid to a couple of competitions that were due to get under way this month.  The first leg of the four nations has been postponed, and we wait to see if the next leg can go ahead on the 15th.

Our past President and captain Martin Smith, has organised a new ‘Wednesday 9’s’ competition.  This was due to start this month but had been put back until the 6th April.  If you want more details about this, give myself or smiffy a call and we can explain how it is going to work.

Nigel,

Bishopswood Golf Club Captain 2024

Veterans Foundation – Captains Charity

I have placed some impact statements from the charity in the clubhouse so members can see the good work that the charity is doing.
